  2. Summary
    The narrator retraces the steps of a walk in his childhood. This memory includes the relationship between he and his father and grandfather. He recalls the first time he met his grandfather and hears him tell the story.
    The windmill has stop turning, and the gears are useless. Grandfather than asks two Indians to help. They dance and it rains. The windmill can move but it rains for twelve days which are too long. However, it stops and the Indians want grandfather to teach them how to operate the shotgun. They share their hunting skills.
    Also, the narrator recalls the day he and his father goes to the grandfather's homestead just right after his grandfather's funeral.
